A bilingual Spanish/English storytime led by Jessica Swartz Amezcua of Adventures in Spanish!

Jessica Swartz Amezcua has been involved with Adventures in Spanish since 2009! First as an employee, and now as an owner. This amazing program offers parent-child, preschool, and afterschool Spanish classes, plus Spanish camps and FREE story times throughout Portland.

After graduating from college, Jessica worked in Cuernavaca, Mexico for two years. When she returned to the US, she earned her M.A. in Latin American Studies, worked at a binational, non-profit environmental organization in San Diego, and later as a bilingual substitute teacher in the Chula Vista elementary school district.

When Jessica is not out and about teaching Spanish classes or busy being a mom to her three children, she may be found playing racquetball, singing with The Low Bar Chorale, or attending one of the many cultural events that Portland has to offer.
