Story of A Poem: Matthew Zapruder & Gabriel Kahane, music & conversation

In celebration of the release of Matthew Zapruder’s aching memoir, ‘Story of a Poem,’ the writer sits down with longtime collaborator and Oregon Symphony Creative Chair Gabriel Kahane, who commissioned—and set to music—the poem that closes Zapruder’s new book. Their conversation, held at one of NE Portland’s most intimate venues, The 1905, will be interspersed with musical selections performed by Kahane.

This event is an official part of the Literary Arts Portland Book Festival Cover to Cover program, which expands the festival into a weeklong event, with programming all over Portland.
