Pop-Up: Shilo Niziolek

PBF Pass

November 4, 2023 @ 11:45 am - 12:05 pm

Portland Art Museum

Shilo Niziolek pops-up for a reading in the Portland Art Museum galleries with her memoir, Fever.

Niziolek is paired with the artwork She Became the Seed by Tammy Jo Wilson; found in the Black Artists of Oregon exhibit, on the 2nd floor of the Portland Art Museum.

A memoir made up of essays fragments, Fever, examines what it is to desire throughout all phases and states of life and being. Niziolek mixes plain language with poetic prose to interrogate trauma from domestic violence and illness, sexuality, and the different ways we can and do love despite these things.
