Pop-Up: Kayla Kumari Upadhyaya

PBF Pass

November 4, 2023 @ 12:45 pm - 1:05 pm

Portland Art Museum

Kayla Kumari Upadhyaya pops-up for a reading in the Portland Art Museum galleries with her novelette Helen House.

Upadhyaya is paired with the artwork We Await Thee by Robert Colescott; found in the Black Artists of Oregon exhibit, on the 2nd floor of the Portland Art Museum.

When a woman travels to her girlfriend’s house to meet her parents for the first time, the vibes are very off. A queer ghost story about grief and families, Helen House is a gay, sexy story to tell in the dark.
