PCC Carolyn Moore Reading Series ft Jose Hernandez Diaz, Emilly Prado and Jae Nichelle

Join Portland Community College and the Carolyn Moore Writing Residency on November 1st as we celebrate our second full year of fantastic writing residents with a night of music, refreshments and readings, featuring local musicians and three award-winning writers: nationally-known poet Jose Hernandez Diaz, award-winning slam & print poet Jae Nichelle, and local DJ and author of Funeral for Flaca, Emilly Prado.

This event is an official part of the Literary Arts Portland Book Festival Cover to Cover program, which expands the festival into a weeklong event, with programming all over Portland. Bios

Jae Nichelle

Jae Nichelle is the author of the poetry chapbook The Porch (As Sanctuary); the poetry collection God Themselves, and the inaugural poetry winner of the John Lewis Writing Award from the Georgia Writers Association. A slam poetry champion, her spoken word has been featured by Write About NowSpeak Up Poetry Series, and Button Poetry.
