Debra has published in such journals as\u00a0<i>Granta, The Sun,\u00a0<\/i><i>Tin House, American Scholar,<\/i>\u00a0<em>Creative Nonfiction, Freemans,\u00a0<\/em>and others. She is the recipient of two Pushcart Prizes, and her\u00a0essay, \u201cFire and Ice,\u201d was recently selected for\u00a0<i>Best<\/i>\u00a0<i>American Essays,\u00a0<\/i>by Alexander Chee.\u00a0Debra is co-editor, along with her husband Barry Lopez, of\u00a0<em>Home Ground: Language for an American Landscape<\/em>.
