It was longlisted for the 2017 Orwell Prize and chosen as one of the best books of the year by the\u00a0<em>New York Times<\/em>, the\u00a0<em>Washington Post<\/em>, the\u00a0<em>Los Angeles Times<\/em>, NPR,\u00a0<em>Entertainment Weekly<\/em>\u00a0and the\u00a0<em>San Francisco Chronicle<\/em>.\u00a0<em>The Power<\/em> topped Barack Obama\u2019s list of his favorite books from 2017 and has been translated into more than thirty languages. Naomi grew up in London and attended Oxford University and UEA.
