Kayla Kumari Upadhyaya<\/strong> is a lesbian writer of short fiction, essays, and pop culture criticism living in Florida. She is the managing editor of\u00a0Autostraddle<\/em>\u00a0and the assistant managing editor of\u00a0TriQuarterly<\/em>. Her work appears in\u00a0McSweeney\u2019s Quarterly Concern, Catapult, The Offing, The Rumpus, Joyland, Vice, Vulture<\/em>, and others. She was a 2021 nonfiction fellow for Lambda Literary\u2019s Writers Retreat for Emerging LGBTQ Voices.\u00a0Helen House<\/em>\u00a0is her first book.<\/p>\n
