Nikkolas Smith<\/strong>\u00a0is an Artivist, picture book author, and Hollywood film illustrator. He is the author-illustrator of\u00a0The Golden Girls of Rio<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0My Hair Is Poofy & That\u2019s Okay<\/em>. He also illustrated the picture books\u00a0I Am Ruby Bridges, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever: The Courage to Dream,\u00a0That Flag,<\/em> and the\u00a0New York Times\u00a0bestselling\u00a0The 1619 Project: Born on the Water<\/em>. Many of Nikkolas\u2019s viral and globally published sketches that have sparked important conversations and inspired meaningful change are included in his book\u00a0Sunday Sketch: The Art of Nikkolas<\/em>. He speaks on his Artivism at conferences, workplaces, and schools around the world, and he also leads workshops about digital painting. Born in Houston, Texas, Nikkolas lives in Los Angeles, California. His new book is\u00a0The Artivist<\/em>.
