Alicia Jo Rabins<\/strong>\u00a0is a poet, musician and Torah teacher. She is the author of two books of poetry,\u00a0Fruit Geode<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Divinity School<\/em>\u00a0(winner of the APR\/Honickman First Book Prize), and a book of personal essays about Jewish spirituality and early parenthood,\u00a0Even God Had Bad Parenting Days<\/em>. Rabins is the creator and performer of Girls in Trouble,\u00a0a feminist indie-folk song cycle about women in Torah, and the art film\u00a0A Kaddish for Bernie Madoff<\/em>, currently available on-demand in North America. She lives in Portland, OR with her husband, two children, and too many houseplants.<\/p>\n
