Matthew Zapruder<\/strong>\u00a0is the author of five collections of poetry, most recently Father\u2019s Day<\/em> (Copper Canyon, 2019), as well as Why Poetry<\/em> (Ecco,\u00a02017) and Story of a Poem<\/em> (Unnamed, 2023). He is editor at large at Wave Books, where he edits contemporary poetry, prose, and\u00a0translations. From 2016-7 he held the annually rotating position of Editor of the Poetry Column for the New York Times Magazine<\/em>, and was the\u00a0Editor of Best American Poetry 2022<\/em>. He teaches in the MFA in Creative Writing at Saint Mary\u2019s College of California.<\/p>\n
