Margaux Meganck spends her days dodging raindrops and drawing from her imagination in beautiful Portland, Oregon. Her work is fueled by hot tea and copious amounts of chocolate. Her author-illustrator debut, People Are Wild received two starred reviews and was named a Kirkus Reviews Best Book of the Year. Speck: An Itty Bitty Epic is her second author-illustrator book and has also received two starred reviews. Her illustration work has been recognized by the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) as well as the Junior Library Guild (JLG). Meganck’s latest book is Speck.
