Poets Victoria Chang and Beth Piatote sit down for a conversation on their recent publications and their evocative use of nature throughout their poems. Moderated by writer and editor Alyssa Ogi, this discussion promises a rumination on our shared home, oppressive efforts of erasure, and the art and language that we use to understand our world and ourselves.
Beth Piatote reads from her new poetry collection distant water at the Portland Art Museum in the Native American Art Gallery.
